Is leadership a learned behavior?

Can leadership be taught? If so, why is it important that children strive to be leaders? Leadership requires self-motivation, self-reflection, building a rapport with others and effective communication….all essential qualities that every adult should possess! Leadership is taught in the classroom, on the soccer field, in the marching band, in the science lab and on the robotics team. Teachers should create endless opportunities for young leaders to thrive. Young leaders who are self-motivated, team-players, self-aware and effective communicators will become adult leaders who will change the world!!
